ENROLLMENTS FOR 2025 NOW OPEN!!!

Putney Dance Co. was founded in 2022 by local mum of two, Chantelle DeCastro. Chantelle has always dreamt of running her own dance school, providing a safe space for children to grow, be nurtured and encouraged to find their own style within the world of dance!

Chantelle commenced dancing at the age of four at the nationally renowned performing arts studio, ED5 International, has performed and competed locally and internationally, and has taught for over 10 years, at multiple studios across Sydney. Chantelle has been trained in Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Contemporary, Modern, Hip Hop and Musical Theatre and wishes to grow the studio to be able to offer all genres of dance in the near future. 

At Putney Dance Co. our mission is first and foremost to instill our students with a sense of confidence. Importantly, we also wish to create a place where each child can be accepted as their true selves and explore their own style with encouragement and cheer from their peers. We appreciate times have been hard of late, especially for our growing generations. Therefore we wish to provide children with a space to grow, connect and socialize with other children, through the art of dance! Instead of growing to be a very large, competitive dance school, we wish to enroll less students, focus more on recreation instead of competition and have our children work towards one dance concert a year, where they can showcase what they have learnt and the progress they have made to parents, families and friends. We believe strongly that as long as each child leaves class with a smile on their face and a spring in their step, our job has been done - and done well!

We wish to grow our classes organically and therefore we currently offer Tiny Tots Ballet, Tiny Tots Jazz, Kindy Hip Hop, Primary/Junior Hip Hop, Kindy/Primary Ballet, Combo Acro & Kindy/Primary/Junior Musical Theatre (based on popular demand by locals)! These classes will cater to children aged 2.5-12 years of age. Once there is general interest expressed in classes for children of other age groups, we will cater to the communities needs and add more where required, immediately. Please contact us if you wish to enroll your child into an older age group, we will then be able to notify you once we have a class ready to go!

Term 4 for 2024 will conclude on Saturday the 21st of December. Please see Term Dates for 2025 below:

Term 1: 

Monday 3rd of February – Saturday the 12th of April

Term 2:

Monday 28th of April – Saturday the 5th of July

Term 3:

Monday 21st of July – Saturday the 27th of September 

Term 4: 

Monday the 13th of October – Saturday the 20th of December
