Yes! As we are organically growing, we wish to accurately gauge the demand for more classes before adding to our current timetable. We do have every intention of adding more genres (including Acro), to our current time table. Miss Chantelle will be holding all classes to begin, however will be hiring more teachers as demand grows to ensure we can adequately accommodate our local community.
Uniforms will be ordered in bulk to ensure we can stock enough supply for all children. Our uniforms are currently being designed (we will be starting with tank tops, t shirts and jumpers/hoodies). Once we have finalized our design, we will send out communications and order forms. We will be keeping uniforms cost effective, practical and of course, stylish! Students are encouraged to wear the correct dance shoes to class. Jazz and Ballet shoes can be purchased from local dance wear shop, Anything Dance located in Croydon. If your child does not yet have the correct dance shoes for class, please ensure they wear a light weight sneaker. Socks and barefoot are not allowed, due to health and safety reasons.
For Jazz classes, uniform requirements are as follows:
- Black tights, shorts or three quarter tights
- Black tank top/t-shirt (if your child does not yet have a uniform, or is trialing a class)
- Hair pulled back away from face
- No jewelry (sleepers or studs are an exception to this rule)
For Ballet classes;
- Pink ballet tights (purchased from a dance wear store)
- Baby pink leotard
- Baby pink ballet skirt (not compulsory)
The above can be purchased from dance wear shops, or for a more budget friendly option, Best & Less Top Ryde also stock dance wear!
We ask that no jewelry is worn to class (other than studs/sleepers), hair is tied back and kept off the students face and students look presentable.
We do appreciate your co-operation with regards to the above mentioned. We firmly believe that consistency is key when it comes to class presentation - this does include taking pride in wearing the correct uniform.
We encourage all parents to drop their children to class, and leave them to enjoy their class with their teacher and friends! We strongly believe this helps children to focus, learn and grow and also, give them the confidence they require to perform. We will hold open days throughout each year to allow family members to join class to see what their children learn each week and also hold an annual dance performance where your children will perform routines in each genre of dance they partake in.
Miss Chantelle and her mum Petre' (dance mum of 28 years)! Will be available to contact throughout the week. Although initially we will be running the classes from a hall, please feel free to contact us via the website ('Contact' or the message bubble on the bottom right hand corner of the site) and we will call or email you back as soon as possible.
Miss Chantelle will maintain a strong presence as the studio grows as she firmly believes the key to running a successful dance school is by building a family style environment, which she is passionate about. Please don't hesitate to contact Miss Chantelle or Petre' with any questions or concerns, we love hearing from our families!
